Pearl Wallet Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 19, 2026
Overview
Pearl Wallet is a Chrome extension for creating or importing a local Pearl wallet and accessing Pearl Market. This policy explains what information is processed locally in the extension and what information is processed by the Pearl Market backend.
Information That Stays Local
Your recovery phrase, private keys, vault password, and decrypted wallet data are kept in your browser. Pearl Wallet does not send this information to Pearl servers, support channels, Telegram, email, or any third-party website. The encrypted vault is stored locally by Chrome and protected with your vault password.
Information Processed By Pearl Market
When you open Pearl Market, the backend may process your Pearl account address, signed login challenge, market session metadata, deposit addresses assigned to your account, balances recorded in the market ledger, orders, trades, withdrawals, transaction hashes, fee records, timestamps, IP-derived security metadata, and operational logs needed to protect the service.
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect your recovery phrase, private keys, vault password, browser history, contacts, precise location, payment card data, or unrelated website activity.
How Information Is Used
Information is used to operate Pearl Wallet and Pearl Market, verify signed sessions, credit verified deposits, process withdrawals, match orders, calculate fees, detect abuse, comply with legal obligations, troubleshoot issues, and secure the platform.
Pearl Wallet limits user data use to providing and improving the wallet and market features described in the extension. The use of information received from Chrome extension APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Blockchain Data
Pearl and USDT transfers happen on public blockchains or public blockchain indexers. Public transaction data may include wallet addresses, transaction IDs, amounts, and timestamps. This public blockchain data cannot be deleted by Pearl Wallet.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. Information may be processed by infrastructure providers used to host, secure, monitor, or operate the service. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users, or to investigate security incidents.
Security
The extension uses local vault encryption, a strict extension security policy, minimal Chrome permissions, inactivity locking, and signed market authentication. Backend secrets are managed through AWS Secrets Manager and production access is restricted. No online system can be guaranteed risk-free, so users should keep recovery phrases offline and start with small test amounts.
Retention
Market ledger, order, trade, deposit, withdrawal, fee, and security records may be retained as long as needed for accounting, audit, fraud prevention, dispute handling, legal compliance, and service integrity. Local wallet data remains under the user's control in the browser.
User Controls
You can lock the wallet, delete individual wallets, reset the local vault, or remove the extension. Resetting the extension removes local wallet data from that Chrome profile but does not delete public blockchain history or market records already needed for ledger integrity.
Children
Pearl Wallet is not intended for children. Users must comply with the laws and platform rules that apply in their jurisdiction.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy when the wallet, market, infrastructure, or legal requirements change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
